11. New Orleans Hornets – C Daniel Orton – Kentucky
Emeka Okafor is getting older and is definitely a possibility for an injury. Daniel Orton would fill in great if something like that happens. He did not do too much at Kentucky but has exceptional skills as well as a great body for the NBA. Many scouts see that Orton could be a real force a few years down the road.
12. Memphis Grizzlies – PF Donatas Motiejuna – Lithuana
Motiejuna is another European player coming into the draft who can do a little of everything. He has great size to play inside and also can step outside and knock down shots. He has a very thin body and an inconsistent shot. If he can improve that teams will take a chance on him because of his upside.
13. Toronto Raptors – SG Xavier Henry – Freshman – Kansas
14. Houston Rockets – SF Devin Ebanks – Sophomore – West Virginia
15. Milwaukee Bucks (from Chicago) – C Jerome Jordan – Senior – Tulsa
16. Minnesota Timberwolves (from Charlotte) – SG Avery Bradley – Freshman – Texas
17. Chicago Bulls (from Milwaukee) - PF Patrick Patterson – Junior – Kentucky
Patterson is a long athletic big man who can extend the defense. He has really improved on his outside jump shot which has really elevated his draft stock. He is a great competitor who is a very physical big man but is still very raw on his low posts moves.
18. Miami Heat – PG Tyshawn Taylor – Sophomore – Kansas
19. Boston Celtics – PF Gani Lawal – Junior – Georgia Tech
20. San Antonio Spurs – C Solomon Alabi – Sophomore – Florida State

2011 NFL Mock Draft 11-20

11. Chicago Bears – WR Julio Jones – Alabama
WR Johnny Knox emerged last year as their number one WR and about their only deep threat. He isn’t a #1 type wide receiver. If Julio Jones falls into their lap with the 11th pick in the 2011 NFL mock draft. He is a big physical WR who is your prototypical number one and a great addition for QB Jay Cutler who they invested heavily in.
12. Miami Dolphins – RB Mark Ingram – Alabama

The 2010 Heisman Trophy winner is beginning my mock draft as the top RB in the 2011 draft class. He reminds me of Emmitt Smith coming out of college. Smith was a small stocky back that many teams thought he was too slow. Mark Ingram is a built similarly to Emmitt. He isn’t going to wow you with his speed and he is only 5’10″. He does have huge legs that will be able to handle a large workload and would fit very well in Miami.
13. San Francisco 49ers – DE Greg Romeus – Pittsburgh
The 49ers worked on their offensive line with their two picks in the 2010 first round. I expect them to work on their defensive pass rush with the 2011 NFL mock draft. Romeus isn’t the most flashiest DE in this mock draft but he is a very good pass rusher as well as run defender. He would fit in nicely with Coach Singletary’s defensive scheme.
14. Denver Broncos – S Mark Barron – Alabama
Renaldo Hill and Brian Dawkins have been in the NFL for over ten years and are getting older. By picking a safety in the 2011 NFL mock draft they will make their secondary younger and quicker. They have been working on their defensive front line in the past few years, it is about time to look at the secondary.
15. New York Giants – RB Ryan Williams – Virginia Tech
In his freshman year at Virginia Tech, Ryan Williams ran for 1,655 and 21 TD’s. This was only one year of playing experience but many scouts were impressed with his play and could challenge Mark Ingram as the best RB in this draft class. After the 2010-11 season the Giants will be looking for a full-time back that can be a game changer to help Eli Manning.
16. Tennessee Titans – DE/DT Cameron Heyward – Ohio State
In the 2010 NFL draft the Browns filled their need in the secondary by drafting CB Joe Haden in the 1st round and S T.J. Ward in the 2nd round. In the 2011 NFL mock draft they stay on the defensive side but focus on the front line. Cameron Heyward is a very good athlete. He has a great combination of size, power, and quickness which will fit in nicely with Cleveland’s base 3-4 defense.
17. Carolina Panthers – CB Patrick Peterson – LSU
When you are in the New Orleans Saints division you must have plenty of depth in the secondary. Patrick Peterson is a top CB in the 2011 NFL mock draft so if he falls to the 17th pick and Carolina they should be looking to draft his type of talent.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers – S Ahmad Black – Florida
When the Steelers have had Troy Polamalu roaming in the back of their defense they have been successful. Last year, Polamalu was injured for most the season and it resulted in a lot of points given up as well as missing out on the playoffs. Even is Polamalu recovers from his injury the Steelers should look into adding more depth and another playmaker in their secondary.
19. Atlanta Falcons – DT Marvin Austin – North Carolina
Marvin Austin could have came out in the 2010 NFL draft and been drafted in the 1st round but opted to come back for another year of college. This is where I have started him in my 2011 NFL mock draft but I could see him being a top 10 pick with a good season at North Carolina.
20. Houston Texans – CB Curtis Brown – Texas
In the 2010 NFL draft the Texans selected Kareem Jackson from Alabama. I really liked this pick and I expect them to continue to improve their secondary through the draft. If Payton Manning is in your league you need to have a good secondary and have to have a deep secondary. In my 2011 NFL mock draft I have Curtis Brown going to the Texans.

2010 Fantasy Baseball Batter Rankings >>>
National League Pitchers

Worth the Money
Tim Lincecum – San Francisco Giants – This is a pretty obvious selection but needs to be said. I would spend whatever it takes to get Lincecum on my team. He has a funky delivery that not only fools batters but also is suppose to be healthy for his arm. He hasn’t had any arm issues in his career which is a great thing for fantasy owners. Keeping him off the DL is a plus but his stat line in his first few seasons is what makes him worth the crazy amount of money. In his last two seasons he has pitched in over 225 innings, fanning over 260 batters, and winning over 15 games. If Lincecum is available in fantasy leagues you better throw everything in including the kitchen sink if that is what it takes.
Jair Jurrjens – Atlanta Braves – Jurrjens has silently been a pitching stud who continues to produce for Atlanta. In the last two years with Atlanta he has produced 27 wins and a 3.14 ERA. Outside of Atlanta he is a unknown star but this year he should break out even more and should be a well known name throughout fantasy baseball leagues. Last year he finished with his lowest ERA at 2.60 and 152 strikeouts. He only finished with 14 wins but I expect him to be close to 20 wins in 2010.
Josh Johnson – Florida Marlins – Fantasy owners may be a little scared to spend their money on Josh Johnson due to his inconsistency in the past 4 years. He has had a few arm injuries in his career which is defiantly a concern but when healthy he is no doubt one of the most dominant pitcher in the major leagues. Last year he logged his most innings with 209 a 3.23 ERA and 15 wins. I expect similar if not better numbers this fantasy season.
Yovani Gallardo – Milwaukee Brewers – The ace of the Milwaukee staff had a very good 2009 season but only had a 13-12 record. He is only 23 years old so he will get better with more experience. He is a strikeout master who should continue to rack up the wins throughout his long career.
Dan Haren – Arizona Diamondbacks – The two years that he has spent with Arizona have been very successful so if Dan Haren is on the market you should be opening your bank account for him. In both years he has started 33 games and has pitched in over 200 innings. This tells fantasy owners that he is durable and reliable. Along with the consistancy he has averaged 14 wins every year as well as an ERA just above 3.
Tommy Hanson – Atlanta Braves – Hanson has been a big time prospect for the past few years and last year he showed why. He finished with a record of 11-4 and 2.89 ERA in 21 games. He has only been in the big leagues for one year but from what I saw last year he should be a big time pitcher in the National League for many years to come. Fantasy owners may be wary to spend a lot of money on him but that will be their loss when he nears 20 wins in 2010 along with his teammate Jair Jurrjens.
Not Worth the Money
Chris Carpenter – St. Louis Cardinals – After coming off a Cy Young type of year, many people may be asking why is he not worth the money. I agree that when healthy he is a top tier pitching in the whole MLB but before last year he hasn’t been healthy. Before last year he had only pitched in 21 innings between 2007-2008. He did pitch in over 200 innings last year but I am not taking my chances on Carpenter and his history. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
Ubaldo Jimenez – Colorado Rockies – He had a very good 2009 season so you may think why he is not worth the money. Last year he finished with 15 wins and a 3.47 ERA. One of the biggest reasons for me being wary of a Colorado Rockie pitcher is the home stadium that they play in half the year. Colorado is a hitting park which everyone knows and although he has produced very well throughout his short career there, I’m not spending a lot of money on him.
Cole Hamels – Philadelphia Phillies – After coming off a phenomenal year in 2008, Hamels was a big disappointment to fantasy owners in 2009. Last year he was 10-11 and had a 4.32 ERA. He was also very bad in the postseason not able to get deep into the game which is a big reason that the Phillies lost the World Series last year. In 2010, I am not expecting anything to change from last year to this year.
Carlos Zambrano – Chicago Cubs – Last year was one of his worst seasons in the big leagues and it wasn’t even that bad. He ended up with 9 wins and a 3.77 ERA. Before last season he had pitched in over 30 games since 2003. Last year he started to have some arm trouble which really scares me going into this fantasy season. I am not putting my money towards Zambrano but some fantasy owners may.
Under the Radar Keepers
Ricky Nolasco – Florida Marlins – Many fantasy owners were high on him last year due to his great year in 2008. I was very excited last year when I drafted him but he had a down year. One positive was that he started in over 30 games in 2009 and 32 in 2008. Despite having a 5.06 ERA he still finished with 13 wins which could be something to look at going into this fantasy season.
Jonathan Sanchez – San Francisco Giants – Going with Sanchez as a sleeper is bit of a stretch but that is the definition of a sleeper. He has a career ERA of 4.81 which doesn’t open fantasy owners eyes the least bit or does his 21-30 career record. One thing that he does bring to the table is his strikeout total. Last year he pitched in 163.1 innings and had 177 strikeouts. Sanchez would be a good addition to a fantasy team that needs strikeouts. Something that I see that makes him a sleeper in my eyes is that his ERA has dropped in the last three seasons. The Giants’ left hander is still young and could have a breakout year for any fantasy owner willing to take a chance.
Johnny Cueto – Cincinnati Reds – Cueto has all the stuff to be a great pitcher but hasn’t been able to put it all together. With Edinson Volquez on the DL for a good part of the year he will have to step up and show what he has. He hasn’t been able to keep his ERA and WHIP low which hurt his fantasy stock but he is a specialist in the strikeout category. He also should win more than 10 games each year so it is worth to spend a little money on him.
Zach Duke – Pittsburgh Pirates – He has only had a 4.30 ERA in the last 5 years and a 37-55 record. He is a long shot sleeper but had his lowest ERA and most amount of wins last season. That can give some hope to fantasy owners. He also can eat up a lot of innings. So towards the end of the auction or draft and you want to fill in a spot with a sleeper Zach Duke could be your guy.
Brett Myers – Houston Astros – Brett Myers was a big disappointment in Philadelphia. He has a great array of pitches but has struggle with his command. My thinking with him here is a new city, new attitude, new results. Moving to Houston may be just the thing he needs to turn his career around. Look for him to be a quality pitcher for fantasy owners willing to take a chance on him.
Minor Leagues
Aroldis Chapman – Cincinnati Reds – The Reds have recently been making moves to improve their roster and one was signing Aroldis Chapman to 5 year $30 million contract. Scouts have been saying that he isn’t ready to pitch in the big leagues yet and will start in the minors. If he does come up this year he could be a good help for your fantasy squad. If he doesn’t join the big league team this year he will be a great asset to your fantasy team in years to come.
Madison Bumgarner – San Francisco Giants – Bumgarner is a top prospect in the Giants’ organization and he showed it a few times last season. Last season he pitched in 4 games and started one. The one game that he started was against the Padres where he lasted 5.1 innings, 2 earned runs, and 4 strikeouts. Look for him to break out this year.
Jordan Zimmerman – Washington Nationals – Before Stephen Strasburg, Zimmerman was the Nationals top pitching prospect. Last year he struggled in his starts. He started in 16 games and 4.63 ERA. This year with a little experience under his belt look for him to have a nice rebound year.
Stephen Strasburg – Washington Nationals – Everyone should know the name Stephen Strasburg. 100 MPH consistent fastball with major league type stuff. He will probably be in the minor leagues for most of this year but stash him there for the future.

Worth the Money
Carl Crawford – Tampa Bay Rays – Crawford is entering his 9th year of professional baseball and is coming off one of his best seasons in 2009. He finished with a batting average of .305 and 60 stolen bases. Crawford is worth the money mainly based on how many steals he has in a season. He has had 5 seasons where he stole over 50 bases. To win in a Rotisserie style scoring league, stolen bases are a number 1 category that you need to be a contender in your fantasy league.
Robinson Cano – New York Yankees – Fantasy owners have been waiting for a year like Robinson Cano had in 2009. He exploded to hit .320, 103 runs, 25 HR’s, and 85 RBI’s. In 2010, the Yankees have added another weapon to their lineup in Curtis Granderson so Cano will continue to get good pitches to hit. This will result in a better 2010 fantasy baseball season.
Chone Figgins – Seattle Mariners – As I said with Carl Crawford, stolen bases are a big category to win in fantasy baseball. Figgins has been an overlooked player in many fantasy leagues but he is always among the leaders in SB’s. Last year he finished with 42 and now he is teamed up with Ichiro Suzuki which should provide him with a lot more stolen base opportunities as well as should score more runs which is why fantasy owners should keep him on their roster.
Nick Markakis – Baltimore Orioles – Going into every fantasy season, I always stay away from Nick Markakis and looking back at my drafts I have no idea why. He isn’t on a very good team but continues to put up big fantasy numbers. He is a consistent .300 hitter who will hit 20 HR’s and 100 RBI’s. As he gets older he has become a much smarter hitter and should put up some good fantasy numbers for his loyal followers.
Not Worth the Money
Bobby Abreu – Los Angeles Angels – Abreu has had a very good career as a .300 hitter. In the 2010 season he will be 36 years old which could hurt his production. Right now he is projected as a #2 fantasy outfielder. In my rankings he would be at the end of the #2 outfielders and maybe even a top #3 fantasy outfielder.
Hideki Matsui – Los Angeles Angels – Matsui didn’t have a great 2009 fantasy season but did have a great World Series against the Phillies. He won the World Series MVP award which could raise his fantasy stock among fantasy owners. I am not going to be fooled heading into the 2010 season. He has changed teams going to the west coast. Matsui was helped with the short porch in right field and now in the Angles stadium there are longer fences. Last year he was hurt a lot and is getting old. He doesn’t bring much to a fantasy roster except for power and come interleague play he is worth nothing in NL stadiums.
Ichiro Suzuki – Seattle Mariners – I really enjoy watching Ichiro play the game of baseball so it hurts me to put him in this category but I think his numbers are going to start to slip. He is a well rounded fantasy player who will get some HR’s, SB’s, and a lot of runs but nothing outstanding for 2010. If you can get him in the mid-20′s then he is worth the money but I think fantasy owners are going to spend a lot more on him going into the 2010 fantasy baseball season.
Aaron Hill – Toronto Blue Jays – Hill had a great 2009 season, finishing with a .286 batting average and career highs in hits (195), runs (103), HR’s (36), and RBI’s (108). After going over that stat line you probably question why fantasy owners would not be drooling over Aaron Hill. He was one of the best 2nd basemen in the MLB but he needs to prove it to me in the first half of the season until I will buy into him. From 2005-2008 he had a total of 28 HR’s and his next highest HR total was 17 in a season. A lot of fantasy owners may jump on his bandwagon but I’m selling on Aaron Hill.
Under the Radar Keepers
Ben Zobrist - Tampa Bay Rays – Zobrist brings a lot to a fantasy baseball team. Last year he came from out of nowhere to have a great season. This year he won’t be so sneaky and fantasy owners will be looking to pick him up or anxious to keep him. Besides the great stats that he put up last season he is eligible at 2nd, SS, OF, and Utility.
Adam Lind – Toronto Blue Jays – Like Ben Zobrist, he went undrafted in many fantasy leagues in 2009. But despite being under the radar he was crushing balls on a daily bases. He finished with a .305 batting average, 35 HR’s, and 114 RBI’s as a first year player. This year his numbers may drop a bit because pitchers will know where he is in the Blue Jays lineup. I still like him as a keeper for your fantasy team.
Rajai Davis – Oakland A’s – Davis had his best year as an MLB player in 2009. I know that they signed Coco Crisp and have a lot of OF depth but the way that Davis ended the season last year should give him the opportunity in Spring Training to the the starting center fielder. He will help you in the stolen bases category even if for some reason he starts on the bench.
Nelson Cruz – Texas Rangers – I don’t know if Cruz could be considered a sleeper heading into the 2010 fantasy season due to the splash he created last season. Cruz is a big and powerful hitter who smashed 33 HR’s last season. Playing in Texas will only help his numbers so I expect him to have another good year for the Rangers.
Julio Borbon – Texas Rangers - He didn’t have much playing time until the last quarter of the year. In the little amount of playing time he produced some good fantasy numbers. In 157 AB’s he hit .312 and 19 SB’s. Those will be the two main categories when deciding on Julio Borbon. He will bring great speed to your fantasy lineup.
Minor Leagues
Chris C. Carter – Oakland A’s – Carter is entering Spring Training looking to be on the opening day roster. If he can open the season on the A’s roster he could bring a lot to a fantasy lineup. He could be eligible at 1st base and outfield but one thing that we do know is that he will bring a lot of power.
Brett Wallace – Toronto Blue Jays – Wallace who was traded this off-season to Toronto from Oakland is looking to start at 3rd base on the opening day roster. Mid-season last year the Blue Jays traded away Scott Rolen so there will be an opening for Wallace to play his way in. They do have Edwin Encarnacion which could hurt his 2010 fantasy stock but he is more of a future player to keep your eye on.
Carlos Santana – Cleveland Indians – Santana is a big reason why the Indians were able to trade away Victor Martinez last year before the trading deadline. Santana is a well rounded hitter who can hit for average, power, and can drive in runs. Keep your eye on Santana this season even if he doesn’t start on the opening day roster in 2010.
2010 NFL Mock Draft 55-64

NFL Mock Draft 2nd Round
| 55 | Philadelphia Eagles | CB Trevard Lindley - Kentucky | The Eagles secondary is thin and needs to keep adding young talent which is exactly Trevard Lindley. |
| 56 | Green Bay Packers | FS Nate Allen - South Florida | Allen is a very good free safety who could be moving up mock draft boards. In my 2010 NFL mock draft Lindley falls to Green Bay. |
| 57 | Baltimore Ravens | CB Kareem Jackson - Alabama | Another good corner that comes out the National Championship Alabama team. |
| 58 | New York Jets | DE Brandon Lang - Troy | Adding depth to the defensive line will only improve the Jets defense in 2010. |
| 59 | Arizona Cardinals | WR Demaryius Thomas - Georgia Tech | Anquan Boldin may not be back with the Cardinals so they will need to fill the void in the 2010 NFL draft. |
| 60 | Dallas Cowboys | ILB Sean Lee - Penn State | Lee has a great body for the NFL. He tore his ACL in 2008 and missed the whole season which could make him slide down the 2010 NFL mock draft. |
| 61 | Minnesota Vikings | QB Tony Pike - Cincinnati | Brett Favre may come back for another year but they will be prepared to replace him. Pike needs to work on a lot of his technique to be successful in the NFL. He will be a great addition to the Vikings offense even if Favre decides to come back for 2010. |
| 62 | Seattle Seahawks | OT Selvish Capers - West Virginia | With this pick Seattle will continue to sure up their offensive line. |
| 63 | New Orleans Saints | CB Syd'Quan Thompson - California | With this pick the Saints will get younger in their secondary. |
| 64 | Indianapolis Colts | S Deunta Williams - North Carolina | Bob Sanders is hurt every year so with this pick in my NFL mock draft they will get another big time safety. |

2010 NFL Mock Draft 45-54
January 12, 2010 by Administrator · Leave a Comment
NFL Draft 2nd Round
| 45 | Denver Broncos | TE Aaron Hernandez – Florida | Tony Scheffler may not be back with the Broncos so McDaniels will have to find someone to replace him. Hernandez is the 2nd best TE in the 2010 NFL mock draft. |
| 46 | New York Giants | CB Brandon Ghee – Wake Forest | The Giants need some more secondary help. Some mock drafts have him going late in the first round but in my 2010 NFL mock draft I see him as a middle 2nd rounder. |
| 47 | New England Patriots (Tennessee) | WR Damien Williams - USC | Randy Moss is getting older, Wes Welker will surely miss the beginning of the 2010 season so New England will be looking to add some new weapons. Damien Williams had a great career at USC and would be a good fit with Tom Brady. |
| 48 | Carolina Panthers | WR Mardy Gilyard - Cincinnati | Like New England, Carolina has a need for WR's. Steve Smith can't do it all. In the 2010 NFL mock draft Gilyard will fit well with Carolina. He is a playmaker on offense as well as on special teams. |
| 49 | San Francisco 49ers | OG Mike Johnson - Alabama | Alex Smith finished last season strong and may still be their QB of the future. With this 2nd round pick they will help Smith on offense. Mike Johnson is a big lineman which will help improve the offensive line. |
| 50 | Kansas City Chiefs (Atlanta) | WR Brandon LaFell - LSU | The Chiefs will continue to add offensive help around Matt Cassell. LaFell will add another weapon along side Dwayne Bowe. |
| 51 | Houston Texans | CB Donovan Warren – Michigan | Warren is a good cornerback which will help the Texans secondary. |
| 52 | Pittsburgh Steelers | OLB Sean Weatherspoon – Missouri | I expect Weatherspoon to rise through the weeks of my mock draft. He is a very physical linebacker and can help bring back their defensive attitude. |
| 53 | New England Patriots | RB Dexter McCluster - Mississippi | Kevin Faulk is getting older and McCluster is someone who could replace Faulk. He can catch the ball as well as run inside and outside. |
| 54 | Cincinnati Bengals | DT Terrance Cody - Alabama | The Bengals continue to add more young physical defensive players. The defense was one of the best in 2009 and look to be better in 2010. |
